Vision of Silver by Anne Bishop (The Others – Book 3)

We find ourselves in Book 3 of Anne Bishop’s “The Other” series.  (As a side note, I highly recommend if you haven’t read the books in order that you go back and read the first two.  While the books can stand alone, so much more is gained by the back story.)  As the world continues to devolve from “fake news” stories in areas, Meg Corbyn’s vision give the impression that there is an impending threat on the  horizon for the Courtyard.   The story walks the fine line between needing to know the future and the risk and damage caused by each vision.   Can the terra indigene keep their Blood Prophet safe and save themselves?
This book was very entertaining but I was also struck by so many relevant storylines such as “fake news” impacts on those who don’t think for themselves and the all too real moral battle of just because you can does that mean you should.  The author once again does a fantastic job of keep the reader engaged

❤❤❤❤❤ In Book 1, Anne Bishop introduces us to the fantasy world of “The Others”.   This is a world where the supernatural creatures who have the ability to shape shift to human form control the world and allow the “humans” to co-exist is portions.   We meet Meg Corbyn, the Cassandra sangue (blood prophet) who arrives in the Lakeside Courtyard after escaping where she and many of her kind have been held against their will to provide visions for money.   Without spoiling the story, she is found and ultimately employed by Wolf Shape-Shifter Simon Wolfgard, beginning changes that will have unexpected changes to both the human population and the Others.   This book grabs the reader early on and keeps you coming back for more.   The author has an uncanny ability for her descriptions to come alive from the pages of the book and transport you to this fantasy world.   I am looking forward to reading the next books in this series. After the Rain by Mary J. Williams

❤❤💚💚💚  After the Rain is the first book in the One Pass Away series by Mary Williams.     The author creates a heart tugging story line of bad boy turned NFL player who finds himself without a dream after a career ending injury.   Enter a trainer named Claire who has one focus alone, getting Logan Price well enough to play in the NFL again.   Nothing will detract her from her goal and plans…..or will it. I expected the storyline have more depth and struggled with the graphic nature of the sex scenes but that is just my personal tastes.   This book may not be for everyone if you are looking for a romance that builds slowly over time.   Yet it may be exactly what some readers are looking for.    I personally will probably take a pass on the other books in the series. ❤❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ I received a complimentary copy of this book.   Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.   Lake Season is Book 1 in Denise Hunter’s newest Bluebell Inn Romance series.   It all starts with a letter from the past and ends with the promise of love letters in the future.   This book was so riveting I literally read it in a single day, I couldn’t put it down.    For any reader who loves reading romantic fiction what could be better than a story about a bestselling author who is the main character.   I absolutely loved how the storyline developed and all of the references to some of the best known authors.     When a romance author can be compared to works by greats like Nickolas Sparks you know that the mark has been hit.
